Congregational Networks

Friendships and a sense of spiritual community are very important in congregations. In order to develop these to their potential, it is critical to understand the relationship networks in the congregation and its affiliated communities (e.g. first school, after school, youth ministries, etc).

First Baptist Church of Decatur, Georgia is teaming up with Community Analytics and The Columbia Partnership to better understand the networks among its congregation and community. FBC Decatur is committed to continually creating opportunities to strengthen and expand these relationship networks.

To accomplish this, we need to hear from you. What are you passionate about? How are you connected within, and outside of, the FBC Decatur community? Listening to your answers will help FBC Decatur build stronger connections and deliver more meaningful activities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who will be viewing my responses?
Community Analytics and The Columbia Partnership will be analyzing the responses from all participants. In addition, the church staff will be provided access to your responses. Your responses will be stored on our secure server. If you choose to fill out the survey using paper, an office volunteer would enter the information into the online survey and keep your answers confidential.

What are you going to do with my feedback?
After aggregating the responses, we will analyze the networks that exist within the community. FBC Decatur would like to facilitate connections among disparate groups by understanding the activities, programs, and relationships most important to the community.

Will fellow participants know I named them in this study?
Only church staff will have full access to the responses. All of the information you provide is kept confidential from other participants.
