GAZETTE RECOGNIZES COMMUNITY ANALYTICS’ CEO

Community Analytics’ CEO Myra Norton featured in “25 CEO’s You Need to Know”

BALTIMORE (May 2010) - On May 7, 2010 The Gazette of Politics and Business released Maryland’s “25 CEOs You Need to Know.”

A strong CEO is always important to the success of any company. In such a volatile economy however, the measure of a CEO is pivotal to the fate of a company. Gazette Publisher Cliff Chiet congratulated each honoree as "an outstanding example of a top performing CEO in Maryland." Community Analytics’ CEO Myra Norton was recognized for her work and honored by being included in the 2010 list.  The feature was published in the Special Sections of The Gazette of Politics and Business and can be viewed in PDF form here.  The inductees were honored at a special luncheon on May 13th.  Norton was acknowledged for her ability to lead Community Analytics, a Baltimore based company specializing in identifying the relationships that grow organizations. The feature includes a biography of each top CEO along with advice they have for new CEOs.

“Norton's advice is to recognize that ‘no one has all of the answers but a lot of people have pieces of them….Don't be afraid to seek the advice of others and gather knowledge from a variety of sources. In the end, you alone are the one who must synthesize that knowledge and apply it to your present situation,’ she said. ‘Trust your instincts. Learn to adapt quickly. Listen to your customers, really listen.’”

Norton volunteers her time to a wide variety of causes and inspires volunteerism along the way.  Norton’s experiences have taught her how important it is to constantly grow, evolve, and adapt.  This quality, among many others, enables her to achieve such success in her community.  She attributes her drive and success to her parents who she describes as her heroes and mentors.   Norton is known for her inspirational speeches. She describes her efforts as an attempt to “bring more meaningful connections to a world that is bombarded with information, ever-evolving technology, and larger numbers of superficial connections than a person can digest."  She is frequently asked to take part in select events for her presentation “Leveraging the Power of Human Networks to Drive Sales.”
