Could you guess it – the other question I have about this article?

The other question I would suggest you ask yourself after reading this article is how accurate you think self-reported data about influence is?  In the 10,000 person survey mentioned here, respondents are asked to report the number of times they post, the number of followers they have, the types of products they post about, etc.  I wonder if this was validated in any way.  My experience with these types of surveys is that the data is not validated (and in fact, cannot be because respondents are anonymous).  I certainly do not know the specifics of this particular panel or this particular survey; but I think the question is an important one.
