For those of you who haven’t already heard, Community Analytics’ abstract was accepted for the 2008 American Marketing Association’s Symposium for Higher Education. Trust me when I say that it is a great honor to even be selected! Together with Nayeli Garcia and Kristin Fiorilli, I will be writing a paper entitled, “Alumni Engagement through Influence Networks.” The paper focuses on how many colleges and universities struggle to effectively engage with their alumni because they do not understand how these individuals are connected. By understanding the social networks that exist between alumni, institutions can leverage existing relationships to recruit the right leadership, increase participation, and reach new donors.
