For over two decades, including over a dozen years as CFO, Coughlin has been helping growing organizations improve bottom-line profits, turning around troubled companies and preparing others for profitable mergers and acquisitions. Coughlin currently serves as the CFO-in-residence of TowsonGlobal Incubator at Towson University. Coughlin is active in civic and community organizations and sits on the Higher Education Advisory Board of Baltimore County.  She is a magna cum laude, beta gamma sigma, alpha sigma nu graduate from Loyola College in Baltimore with a Masters in Business Administration. She also holds a BS in Business/Accounting from Towson University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

A Baltimore-native, Carol enjoys outdoor activities, such as skiing or biking with her family. She enjoys exploring exotic cultures and landscapes and is a fan of world music.
