Foundation Leaders & Corporate Social Executives

There is a growing math & science education issue in the United States. U.S. students recently finished 19th in math and 14th in science in the ranking of 31 countries. Furthermore, barely 18% of 12th grade students perform at or above the proficient level in science. American students are falling behind in these essential subjects, which is increasing our shortage of qualified workers in math and science, and ultimately putting our position in the global economy at serious risk.

There are many programs that support this issue and although they’re all trying to reach the same goal of enhancing math and science achievement, they are working independently on a range of different initiatives. The aim of this study is to understand who foundation leaders and CSR executives consult with when choosing which programs to support. This will enable us to discover who is taking a leadership role in making recommendations to the philanthropic community.
